Amelia's Feminist Book Club
Will you join me?
I’m starting a Feminist Book Club - a new initiative of the gender justice campaigning group Fair Agenda.
Here’s how it works:
> Just like a traditional book club, we all read the same text
> Unlike a traditional book club - you don’t have to read a whole book! (We’ll have a chapter / article or podcast, and it will always be a less than 3 hour commitment)
> I’ll suggest the reading based on a short list provided by the team at Fair Agenda - which will relate to the moment we’re in, and how we can best make change
> We’ll meet every 6 weeks
> You can come to the sessions that suit you - and skip any that don’t suit.
Together, my hope is that this space becomes a place to deepen connections with other excellent feminists in our lives; to jointly discuss and incorporate insights from leading feminist thinkers; and take action to help make the future a bit better for all of us.
Sign up to join the group to keep across the schedule :)

Amelia's Test Feminist Book Club Event
THIS IS A TEST YIPPEE. Please join my very first Feminist Book Club meeting!
I’m hosting this as part of a new initiative from Fair Agenda (the gender justice campaigning group).
This is the first of book clubs that I will run every 6 weeks - where we'll connect over a different text that relates to our collective fight for a better future while also connecting with others passionate about creating fairer futures.
Just like a traditional book club: we all read the same text (chosen from a list of timely feminist content).
Unlike a traditional book club: you won’t be asked to read a whole book (instead we'll all read an excerpt / article or podcast will always take less than 3 hours of your time). We will be reading BOOK NAME CHAPTER and you can access it at LINK.
During book club: We'll check in with each other; reflect on what we’ve taken from the text, as well as how it relates to what we’re up against in the fight for a better future. And I’ll also share a quick update on opportunities to take action in current campaigns for gender equity.
Hope you can join for good company, chats, and snacks.
