Where do your candidates stand?
We all deserve to feel safe and in control of our lives; and to be free to decide whether and when to become a parent. But this election, Queenslanders’ legal right to access abortion care is at risk.
After decades of advocacy, Queensland finally passed laws to decriminalise abortion and treat it as healthcare in 2018. Now crossbencher Robbie Katter has announced he will introduce a Bill to repeal or amend the 2018 law that decriminalised abortion.
Issues of abortion are generally treated as personal “conscience” votes - which means the personal view of MPs will determine whether Queenslanders are legally able to access abortion care; or whether Queensland’s abortions laws are dragged back into the dark ages.
Make sure the person asking for your vote reflects your values on reproductive rights and healthcare access. Fair Agenda is asking candidates whether they'll protect our reproductive rights. Get involved in the campaign to protect reproductive rights in Queensland.
