Sign the card: Thanks for committing half a billion to tackle family violence

Last month the Victorian Government have announced an incredible $572 million of funding to address family violence in the state.

This investment is an historic act of leadership from Premier Daniel Andrews and his Government, and an important big step towards implementing the full recommendations of the recent Royal Commission.

It's all too rare that we see this kind of leadership, and on such an important issue. That's why it's critical we show this investment is supported by voters -- especially in an election year.

Can you sign your thanks to Premier Andrews and his government for their leadership on this issue? Fair Agenda members will deliver your messages of thanks to Parliament on Wednesday 8th June.

"Why is spending money on ads and education about domestic violence important? Heck it demonstrates a sad and sick uncaring society. Let’s educate and teach active compassion. Let’s teach people better ways of relieving stress. Let’s teach people we all have a right to feel safe in our own homes."

"Preventing further tragic deaths like the murder of Rosie Batty’s son, Luke, by his mentally ill father, is absolutely vital. The support services to prevent such deaths (& indeed lesser injuries to innocent victims) must be properly funded to be effective, so this is a great initiative. Well done!"
