Can you help amplify Liana & Rebeca's message?
The Turnbull Federal Government is still putting thousands of women in danger, by denying them the service support they need to escape domestic violence.
Australian women deserve better. And in Victoria, they’re getting it. This week the Victorian Government stepped up and committed a historic $1.9 billion to address domestic violence in the state. That’s the scale of commitment we need to be seeing from all Governments across Australia.
Fair Agenda members and domestic violence survivors Rebeca and Liana have recorded a message to share why adequate funding of family violence services is so important. As the Turnbull Government prepares to hand down this year’s federal budget, can you chip in to help us get their message in front of tens of thousands of voters in key marginal seats, where we know Government strategists are keeping a close eye on public sentiment?
If we can raise:
- $1000 we will be able to reach more than 1,000 people in five key electorates.
- $3,000 we will be able to reach more than 2,000 people in eight key electorates
- $7,500 we can get this important message on the TV channel that's on in offices at Parliament House.

- Family Violence Prevention Legal Services which provide a specialist and culturally safe service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women report that they are forced to turn away more than 30% of people who come to them for help due to inadequate funding.
- Men's Behaviour Change Programs report that on average there is upwards of a 6 month waiting list for men to be able to get into a behaviour change program that has been mandated by court.
- Community Legal Centres - which provide support to victim survivors of family violence as well as other vulnerable community members, have to turn away more than 160,000 people every year, including but not limited to women affected by family violence. The Government's most recent funding announcement isn't expected to reduce this by any significant amount.
