Help protect abortion care in QLD
In 2018 the Fair Agenda movement helped win access to safe, compassionate and legal abortion care in Queensland.
But now, Robbie Katter is threatening to undo that progress. He has announced plans to introduce a Bill to repeal or amend the law. It’s part of a terrifying trend. Just last week in South Australia, a Bill to restrict abortion access there failed by only one vote.
We cannot afford to let anti-choice forces take us backwards in any part of the country. Queenslanders go to the polls this Saturday - if pro-choice MPs are replaced by those who would deny our reproductive freedom - Queensland’s abortion laws could be dragged back to the dark ages.
We know that voters care about this issue – but many don’t know where their candidate stands. That’s why Fair Agenda has surveyed candidates on their position. Now, we have a plan to run targeted ads to reach young women in key marginal seats, to share critical information on which candidate will protect their reproductive rights.
