A Leaders Debate for Women #WomenVote

There was something fundamental missing at the first leaders debate between Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese: any mention of women. After a year that saw survivor-advocates speak out for women’s safety, allegations of sexual abuse and harassment in our own parliaments and marches for justice across the country, it was a glaring gap.

That’s why we need a separate leaders debate for women. We’ve got questions: our safety, our security and our services will all be affected by the outcome of this election. Will Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese listen?

Sign the petition to show leaders that if they’re asking for our vote, they need to pick up the microphone, answer our questions and champion women’s safety.

To Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese,

Women are concerned. We want to make sure that we, and future generations, are safe, secure and equal. We’re asking you both for a leaders debate specifically for women and the issues that affect our lives.

Signed,
