Raise funds and help create a fair and equal future

Raise funds and help create a fair and equal future

When we work together, the Fair Agenda community has the power to win huge change on issues affecting women. In the past few years Fair Agenda has: secured $4 million of funding for domestic violence hotline 1800 RESPECT, secured an additional $100 million for family violence response, and blocked cuts to working parents' time to care for their newborns that would have hurt 79,000 families every year.

And this year our community's priorities are: addressing gendered violence, improving women's representation in decision making roles; and protecting reproductive rights. But our community's ability to have impact is limited by the funding we can secure to power our campaigns. Can you help Fair Agenda win more change for women, by fundraising to support our campaigns for a fair and equal future for women?

Fundraising can be lots of fun and very rewarding with a little effort and lots of enthusiasm! And we’re here to support you at every step of the way.

Here are some of the ways you can fundraise for the Fair Agenda community:

Host an event

There are plenty of ways to fundraise off the back of an event. Like holding a market stall, trivia night, music gig, casual clothes day or exhibition! We simply ask that you get in touch to let Fair Agenda know about your event and your fundraising plan. We can give you tips and support to help you achieve your goal of fundraising for women’s rights.

Run (or walk) for women's rights

You can also raise awareness and funds for Fair Agenda by participating and fundraising as part of a running or walking event. There are hundreds of running and walking events across Australia every year. You can see a list of some of the upcoming events by clicking on the find out more button below.

Celebrate with us

Do you have a special occasion coming up? Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, civil partnership, or anniversary, we’d be thrilled to be included as part of your celebration. You can do that by asking for donations in lieu of gifts, and asking friends, family, and colleagues to donate by setting up an online celebration page (or if you’re planning a party, you can also collect donations on the day).

Set a personal challenge

You can have fun and raise funds for women's rights and gender equality by setting yourself a challenge like a head-shave, bike ride, or read-a-thon. Your imagination is the only limit!

Donations in lieu of a gift

Struggling to find a gift for a friend, colleague or family member who is passionate about women's rights? Give them a gift that keeps on giving with a donation to Fair Agenda on their behalf. Thanks to MyCause you can not only give a donation, but also create a personalised eCard which you can email or print for the recipient as well.

This is an especially good gift option for family and friends who live far away.

In four easy steps you can set up your donation and also create a personalised eCard to send along with it:

  1. Choose a template. There are templates for lots of occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthdays
  2. Customise your eCard by adding your own personal message in the text box. You can also add a company logo at this stage if needed.
  3. Choose the amount you would like to donate via credit card.
  4. Select a delivery method. You can either email the eCard to your recipient, (you can even specify a delivery date) or you can print it and mail it yourself.
