Fair Agenda

The government has just called the federal election for the 18 May. That means that we’ve got five weeks to make sure that fair is on the agenda for the next federal parliament.

Fair Agenda members have voted addressing gendered violence and economic inequality as the top two issues for our community this year. So in the weeks leading up to the election we’ll be laser focused on the most urgent needs and strategic opportunities in these areas. Specifically, we’ll be working for: increased funding to address the family violence crisis; action to address workplace sexual harassment; and to stop the discriminatory ParentsNext program. We’ll also be continuing to campaign with partners for a Taskforce to address university sexual violence.

The next five weeks provide an important window for change, but we’ll need your help to make it happen. If we all chip in what we can we’ll be able to resource our community with the tools we need to keep these issues on the agenda.
