We all deserve to feel safe and in control of our lives; and to be free to decide whether and when to become a parent.
After decades of advocacy, we finally have laws that provide for safe, legal and compassionate access to abortion care across the country. But now those laws are under threat.
In Queensland, Robbie Katter says he will introduce a Bill to wind back the 2018 law that decriminalised abortion. With issues of abortion normally put to individual ‘conscience’ votes; and no clear pro-choice majority in the new parliament, we have a lot of work to do to stop this attack.
Together, those of us who care about reproductive justice and freedom helped to pass these historic reforms that finally recognised abortion care as healthcare. Now, we have to defend them. Can you sign up to get involved in the fight to defend reproductive freedom?
