Fair Agenda

Abortion has just become an election issue in Queensland. 

After the LNP announced that all members would vote down the proposed decriminalisation package, the proposed Bills were withdrawn. Now the issue has been referred to the Queensland Law Reform Commission, with a commitment from Labor that they will introduce legislation to modernise Queensland's abortion laws. It's a step forward, but nothing is guaranteed.

That means the only way to win decriminalisation is with a majority of pro-choice MPs in the next Queensland parliament.

We know 82% of Queenslanders support a woman's right to choose abortion - now we need to make sure their MPs do to. Can you chip in to help make sure voters know where their local candidates stands on this issue - and what that means for abortion access - at the upcoming Queensland state election?
