Let them share their story

It takes a lot of courage for someone to share their experience of sexual harassment. The fear of jeopardising their career or being perceived as a “victim” often prevents people from coming forward. The fear of legal consequences shouldn’t be an added barrier preventing someone from telling their story.

That's why the Sex Discrimination Commissioner has urged all employers to issue a limited waiver of confidentiality obligations in any sexual harassment claim settlements — to ensure anyone affected can make a submission to the National Inquiry into Workplace Sexual Harassment.

ANZ and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, two of Australia’s largest companies, have already committed. Can you sign the petition urging the rest of the Big 4 banks to follow suit?

To Brian Hartzer, CEO of Westpac, and Andrew Thorburn, CEO of NAB,

Please join the growing list of organisations waiving confidentiality obligations to allow anyone affected to make a submission to the National Inquiry into Workplace Sexual Harassment.

Yours sincerely,

Fair Agenda will email petition signers from time to time with important updates
